Albert Einstein is the most momentous physicist that has embraced our planet. Einstein once stated that “we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them” (Miscopono, 2012). Albert Einstein is an extremely inspirational figure in the author’s life. This statement forms the backdrop for his investigation into the continuum of teacher education and where ‘alternative materials’ can be introduced into student design processing with particular attention to the subject Materials Technology (Wood).
Mr. Shane Brouder is currently a ‘Design and Technology Education’ student of GMIT Letterfrack. His dream is to facilitate unique design processing and encourage exciting manufacturing with respect to the subject Materials Technology (Wood). Mr. Brouder believes that utilizing new skills and incorporating new materials into the MTW classroom can develop a student’s lifelong learning experiences.
